Refund and Returns Policy

Outback Hobbies is committed to providing excellent customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with any product received, please contact us so we can work with you to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

 

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to return a product and obtain a replacement, refund, or store credit under certain conditions. We strongly recommend that you contact us before returning any items.

 

Incorrect or Damaged Item Received

 

If Outback Hobbies has mistakenly sent you an item that is different from what you ordered or if the item is damaged during delivery, please contact us at sales@outbackhobbies.com.au. We will do our best to have the incorrect item returned as soon as possible and the correct item sent out to you. However, you need to advise us within 10 business days from the time of delivery and before the item has been used, unpacked from its manufacturers' packaging, or fitted.

 

Faulty Product

 

If a product is defective, please contact us as soon as you become aware of the issue. A repair, replacement, or refund will be organized, and we will generally consult with the manufacturer or supplier before proceeding. Most repairs will be carried out by the manufacturer, not Outback Hobbies. If a repair cannot be made, then we will replace the item, or a refund will be offered.

Note: Our warranty only covers defects in manufacturing for periods specified by the manufacturer unless specified otherwise.

 

Warranty DOES NOT COVER:

 

  • Damage resulting from improper use.
  • Damage caused by faulty installation or modification made during installation, damage caused by mold, insects, animals, misuse, incorrect operation, adverse weather, accidents and fair wear and tear.
  • Costs, losses, or charges of removing and reinstalling the product for travel and/or other expenses due to the customer's location for transport charges and damage in transit. It is your responsibility to deliver and pick up your product, including any costs associated with the postage of your repair or replacement product. If you do freight your product, we recommend that you insure against loss or damage. (If warranty is approved, partial or full costs may be refunded)

 

 

Change-of-Mind or Incorrect Choice

 

If you change your mind or select an incorrect item, you have up to 30 days from the time of delivery to return the product at your own cost for an exchange or store credit. If your order has been dispatched, refunds are not available for a Change-of-Mind or Incorrect Choice. 

Please contact sales@outbackhobbies.com.au if you are considering returning an item. The items must be returned in their original, undamaged condition, in the original packaging before an exchange or store credit can be made for the value of the item. Once the returned item is received, it will be assessed to ensure it is accepted. 

 

If the item isn't in the full resalable original condition, a restocking fee may be applied based on the assessment or rejected.

In the event of any discrepancies or inaccuracies, we are committed to rectifying the situation promptly and efficiently. It is essential to note that Outback Hobbies cannot be held liable for any incorrect information or imagery provided to us by our suppliers and manufacturers. As a retailer, we rely on the data and images provided by our partners and do our best to validate and verify the details. Pre-Orders:

When you place a Pre-Order with Outback Hobbies, it means we're working to source the product within a timeframe of approximately 6 months.

This timeframe serves as a guide and isn't guaranteed. If you have any questions or concerns about Pre-Order details, such as estimated arrival times or bulk pricing, please don't hesitate to contact us for clarification.

While we strive for accuracy, Pre-Orders do not guarantee final pricing due to external factors beyond our control that may arise once we've submitted our import order to suppliers. If a price change occurs, we'll promptly inform you.

You're under no obligation to proceed with the Pre-Order if the price increases. In some cases, we specify that prices are not final to provide you with the option to request product orders into the country. Once a Pre-Order is confirmed by Outback Hobbies, it becomes non-refundable.

Should you change your mind, we can convert your order's value into store credit. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

Back-Orders:

A Back-Order is essentially the same as Pre-Order, the difference is how the order is placed. Back-Order is a status we use for your order in the event that the item ordered is not available for dispatch in a reasonable time-frame set out in our Shipping and Delivery page.

It's essential to note that once you, as our customer, accept the Back-Order status, the option for a refund is forfeited. Your understanding and cooperation in these matters are greatly appreciated.

 

Out of stock/discontinued items, and additional Back-Order information: 

When you make a purchase with Outback Hobbies, as our valued customer, you enter into an agreement to abide by the following terms and conditions. In the event of discrepancies including, but not limited to, incorrect listing prices, product unavailability, or discontinuation, we commit to resolving the issue efficiently and to your satisfaction, with minimal disruption to the dispatch of goods.

Should we be unable to provide suitable alternatives or solutions, we reserve the right to cancel your order and issue a full refund. However, if the circumstance pertains to a product/s available to Back-Order, we are pleased to maintain your order as an open Back-Order status.

It's essential to note that once you, as our customer, accept the Back-Order status, the option for a refund is forfeited. Your understanding and cooperation in these matters are greatly appreciated.

 

Returns Policy summary

 

 

  • If a product is deemed faulty and needs to be returned, Outback Hobbies will provide a Postage Paid label or specified otherwise at our discretion.
  • For any change-of-mind or incorrectly chosen purchases, the cost of return postage will be incurred by the customer.
  • Australian Consumer Law entitles customers to return products and receive a replacement, refund, or store credit under certain conditions.
